The Disease-Reversal Disconnect
Healing is not as Far Away as You Might Think
The piece of information missing from nearly every conversation about disease is this: the process that made the body vulnerable to disease is the same process that can reverse it.
Not two mechanisms. One.
Not disease, then treatment.
But disease, then reversal.
Most of us were raised on a quiet assumption that the body is fragile. That it wears down and breaks, and that illness is simply what bodies eventually do. So when a diagnosis arrives, it feels like confirmation. It has become normal. The body was always going to fail us, and now it has.
But it hasn't failed. It has followed.
By now you know, our responses to the stimulus of our every day lives produce chemicals, and those chemicals instruct the cells of the body how operate and replicate. The only thing the body can do is respond to those instructions. That's it.
It's not failure. It's following.
The body doesn't naturally fail. Given the right information, it naturally thrives.
What Are You Practicing?
It's mostly the moments we would never think to mention that accumulate the most information. The jaw that tightens at a red light. The email you reread four times before answering. The small sigh before you pick up a call from someone who always leaves you drained. The familiar sinking feeling when you open the calendar on a Monday morning.
We call these nothing. Background noise. They don't count.
Researchers at the HeartMath Institute estimate that somewhere between seventy and ninety thousand thoughts move through the human mind in a single day, and roughly seventy percent of them lean negative by default. Each one produces chemistry. Each one delivers instructions.
The moments we dismiss as not counting are the ones doing most of the counting.
This is the mystery of disease, unravelled. No single catastrophe, no bad luck, no body that was built to break. No mystical signal that you, of all people, aren't worthy of extraordinary health.
Just an accumulation of ordinary moments, of an ordinary life, repeated for years, writing a biochemistry the body had no choice but to follow.
Same Mechanism, New Direction
If disease was written in ordinary moments, then reversal is written in ordinary moments too.
You don't need a heroic intervention. You don't need to become someone who sees auras. You need to begin noticing the moments you've been told don't matter, and to begin choosing, one at a time, a different response than the one you've always defaulted to. The same mechanism that built the vulnerability is sitting in your hands, available to build something else.
The sentence from last week — Show me what a marvellous day looks like — is one of those ordinary moments, chosen on purpose.
We are far more in charge of this process than most of us have ever been taught. The jurisdiction was handed away so quietly that most people never noticed it was theirs to begin with.
So here's something you can try today....
Start noticing those moments where your response is less than marvellous. Don't do anything else. Just notice.
Just that act alone can change the entire series of events that happen downstream.
Until next week,
Patricia
